Multipley boards are high-quality engineered wood panels made from several thin layers (veneers) bonded together. These layers are arranged in such a way that the grain directions of adjacent layers are offset by 90°, making the panel particularly stable and dimensionally stable. The minimum number of veneer layers is five, which distinguishes them from conventional plywood.
Characteristics:
- High Stability: Due to the cross-laminated bonding, plywood panels are load-bearing and resistant to warping.
- Smooth Surface: Often suitable for visible applications or as a base for coatings.
- Workability: Easy to saw, mill or drill.
- Various wood types: Commonly used woods include birch, beech or poplar.
- Interesting print image, even without white underprinting.
