Project:
Traveling Exhibition "Berlin – Capital of Female Scientists"
Tasks:
Production and delivery of the exhibition elements
Material:
Accordion folds made from 16mm thick honeycomb cardboard panels, self-adhesive photo wallpaper
Execution:
As part of the "Wissensstadt 2021" event series, we produced and installed a small exhibition for the Berlin City Hall. The exhibition showcases the biographies of female scientists who have worked or are working in Berlin. The accordion folds were made from sustainable Wabenkarton and bonded with self-adhesive Photo Wallpaper. The accordion walls were created by joining the honeycomb core panels with hinge adhesive tape.
Stand feet were mounted on the outermost panels, featuring a carved opening to accommodate a sandbag for added stability. The feet were also attached with hinge adhesive tape, allowing the exhibition elements to be compactly folded and easily transported.
This construction method was already used in a similar exhibition at UdK Berlin
